Granite Peak Systems is an information technology consulting firm located in Billings, MT. As of August 2007, we’re a firm of 1. Tom Rupsis (that’s me) is the president, founder and owner of the firm as well as its sole employee.
Working with small to mid-size companies in the Billings area, I focus on delivering what I refer to as “high-impact” technology solutions. This means that I seek projects that quantifiably help your company accelerate growth, reach defined business goals, or manage the growth you already have underway. Many small, lower budget projects meet this standard by greatly improving the efficiency of a process or opening up an additional revenue stream.

More About Me
I’ve been developing, implementing and managing technology solutions for over 10 years. Prior to founding Granite Peak Systems, I was the Director of Information Systems for Employee Benefit Management Services (EBMS). In that role, I managed a 15 person IT group responsible for all technology services including infrastructure support, application development, and the company’s compliance with HIPAA Security regulations.
Prior to EBMS, I worked for McDonald’s Corporation. During my tenure there, I was a manager on a complex supply chain system, gained international experience working on a global ERP project, and spent several years developing technology solutions for the accounting, payroll and HR departments.
I also worked for Hewitt Associates, a leading HR consulting firm, as a business analyst.
I hold a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Vanderbilt University.
I am married with two children, and I enjoy hiking, fly fishing, golf, cycling and photography.
